I wrote about the St Olaf College band tour. Others, like Matt, just enjoy playing. The remarkable director, Timothy Mahr, fills the spaces between the pieces with fascinating commentary. The talented flute soloist, Chappy Gibb, has relatives who attend St Mary’s Episcopal Church in Newton Lower Falls, the congregation Kirsten serves as music director.
