Some of our returning college students took time to come to church on Sunday. (Andrea Vogt is already at school.) They allowed us to tell them that we care about them and love them even when they are away. We think about them and listen for reports of their lives even when church is the last thing they’re thinking about. We said a prayer for them and you blessed them with your hands on their backs and on their heads. College is a time of learning and testing and finding new habits, beliefs and routines. I pray that our Peace kids will keep faith alive in their hearts. I hope they are brave enough to act ethically. Someday I want them to find a church home where they can hear ancient wisdom and rest, as the Psalmist wrote, in the beauty of holiness.
